Mirror, mirror on the wall

What is your morning ritual?
For instance, some will check themselves out on a mirror. Aside from the fact that you look like hell with dirt in your eyes and that offensive breath, you still want to waste several minutes of your limited time, evaluating yourself.
Next, wash their face and brush teeth or go to the potty first before doing the aforementioned. Then off to work.

Personally, here's what I usually do, (with the exception of weekends):
1. Turn off the annoying alarm clock.
2. Grab a towel, march to the bathroom and turn on the shower.
3. Shampoo first then rinse then put on hair conditioner. (The next step is a real time-saver)
4. Leaving the conditioner for a few minutes, making use of that time to brush my teeth.
5. Soap body.
6. Standing under the shower, I rinse of the conditioner and soap at the same time.
7. Dry myself up, then I'm done.

30 minutes tops I'm ready to go (shower, body care rituals, makeup and all).
I make use of every valuable minute of my morning time.

If you poke me, I'll poke you

Last Wednesday, our company offered a free influenza vaccination for all its employees.

For the fact that it is free and it took place several floors above us, so I guess why not.

Of course, like some guys out there, I am a bit psyche out on having my arm poked with a needle. After seeing the size of the needle, it's enough to freeze me up with fear. But being the good girl that I am, I managed to stay calm, (aside from asking everyone who finished up if it hurts) and mustered up the courage to have it done.

The next day, I really felt woozy. Maybe those are the side effects.

Anyway, some people might assume , that having this vaccination, makes you immune against H5N1.

You got that wrong!!!!

Don't, I say, DON'T ever try to freely expose yourself to fowls and birds. As much as possible avoid it. The only protection we got is from a common influenza, which when we are infected with H5N1, the virus might not be able to mutate into a new genre of virus.

So folks out there, you are not invincible. Please take the proper precautions and stay healthy.

Up up and away

Star World News will be presenting a three day special report about Bird's flu.
I've watched the 1st part last night. It really gave me quite a scare.

Main report explains how the H5N1 evolves and mutates once it comes in contact with a person who has a common cold. This makes the pandemic possible in a matter of time.
It also said that this can cause to infect and kill half the earth's population!

Sometimes reports seems to be overdramatic. But expecting the worse of the worse, you can see this happen.

Let's just pray that day would never come. Everything now falls in the hands of God.

Here's a bit of a trivia:

What's the difference between Outbreak, Epidemic and Pandemic? (Answer is in numbers)

Outbreak- a sudden increase in numbers of a harmful organism and especially an insect within a particular area. (locale)

Epidemic-affecting or tending to affect a disproportionately large number of individuals within a population, community, or region at the same time . (general)

Pandemic-occurring over a wide geographic area and affecting an exceptionally high proportion of the population. (global)

Traipsing around the corner

As Monday morn sets in, there's this battle of disengaging myself from my bed.

Autumn is starting to make its presence felt. Colder days are meant to stay. BRRRR!

Last weekend, went out with a friend to try this ramen house in Taipei Metro Mall. For the first time in ages, she was late and I'm on time. Sometimes, I really do surprise myself.

This ramen house (which I don't know its name) has it's somehow Japanese ambiance around it. Service is fast, noodles are great and the soup is Oishi ne! However, my friend seems to be a little unsatisfied. Soup's a little salty and oily for her. Anyway, come to think of it, Japanese ramen soup are really salty.

Going from there, we pass by Chung hsiao road and have our hair trimmed. Never anticipated that it would take us three hours to get it done. . I almost fell asleep. Good thing, there's a baby that has entertained us with his cute smile and dimples.

Haven't bought the coat yet. Still can't find the one I'm looking for. Gotta try again next week.

Wakey Wikey

Clock is ticking away....
Still can't get the zzzzzzzzzz.
What to do! What to do!

It's past midnight and I've already counted a lot of sheeps. Can't get my mind to close down on reality and linger to lala land.

Then this morning, 5am and I'm already up.

I feel so not myself. Groggy and I almost use my face wash as my shampoo.

Well hope this day ends well. Get to bed early and catch a few snores.
