Godzilla and Mozilla

I love using Mozilla Firefox. It has great features that Internet Explorer does not have. Still there are some flaws in it. Some sites I believe are not supported by this browser. Also whenever I use Firefox to view my own blog, it shows off in a disarranged manner.

I wonder why? Maybe some gurus out there could help me fix out this problem.

Blu-ray

A colleague shared some info about Blu-ray.

It is quite fascinating.
Blu-ray is a disc that uses blue-violet laser instead of red ones. With a storage capacity of a whopping 25GB per disc, it is quite a revolution. Also because it is hard coated, so by any chance you could use this as a frisbee if you get bored.

DVD, on the other hand will not be easily replaced. Cause of Blu-ray's high cost and the transition complexity from DVD to Blu-ray, seems that these DVD guys would hang out for awhile.

Well, I'll just wait till the price drops. Perhaps sometime next year, who knows?

A Woman's Scorn

Read this news in the Batjay blog site. I really find this one interesting.

On a sticky situation, what should a man ought to do.

If you're a woman, she's a definite bitch and nasty gal, which on one side can be said as artistic.
If you're a man, think twice when the ex invites you to come over.

For the English version, go to this
one.

Fools rush in

Standing outside at approximately 20 mins till open hours...

Hehehe, I'm one of them, one of the many expectants to enter the Sogo dept store.

For those of you who haven't heard, the previous week and ongoing still, Sogo Taipei is holding it's 18th year anniversary sale.

So what's the fuss about??

For lovely women like me,( eherm, no objections plz!), part of our lives was meant to beautify ourselves. Vain? not exactly, just think of us as people with an aesthetic sense of being. The cosmetic products are offered at a reduced price with lots of sample products. It's a lucrative offer and everyone wants to have a hand on them.

Whoooooosh........ came the sound as the gates open and some of those in the front line, literally raced to the finish line (which is the cosmetics counter). Their anticipation is quite infectious and I also got the feel to race with them, but I'm wearing sandals and tripping over will not be a sight to behold. so i just trek forward to the target set in mind.

I just stayed there for two hours and bought a Clinique care combo set. It's exactly what I came for so let's say I'm satisfied with what I've had. Managed to save a few hundreds, and its worth it.

Broadway

I've had my misfortunes in broadway.
Nope , I'm not part of the cast but even part of the audience I am not.

My so called misfortune, started when I was yearning to watch Miss Saigon. However during that time, it is only played in London and US. With the ticket price also include the fact that going to the West was sky high, I just resign to the fact that maybe I can still catch up with the DVD version.

Then when most unexpectedly, they went to the Philippines and perform there.
This time I'm in Taiwan. But I'm still hopeful cause they will still be performing when I got home.
Ironically, my ex boss even gave me two tickets, VIP seats. (the timing was not right so I need to give it away)
Finally, i never expected that when I got home, all tickets are sold out. (boohuhuhu)

Then when Cats and Phantom of the Opera was played here in Taiwan, I'm also unable to get the tickets too. (I'm really slow...)

So all I could ever do is listen to their songs. It's a consuelo de bobo to me. It's that or nothing else..

Here's an almost new one......

This is a song from the broadway hit of Jacky Cheung entitled 雪狼湖. I'll definitely gonna watch this one if they perform here in Taiwan.

Here's the song that I love."Love is Eternal"

How do I love thee

Excerpts from Sonnets from the Portuguese
by Elizabeth Barett Browning

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints!---I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life!---and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death

The Wait Begins

Up until now, there's not a price yet to the ticket I've booked.

I'm going back home for vacation for at least a couple of weeks. My seat has been booked but the price , as they say "has not been released yet". I just wonder why they don't have a monthly price range for this. I'm thinking , maybe there are several factors to consider too, like stocks, oil prices, politics, inflation/deflation of USD, that would affect the rise and fall of prices.

I just hope it will be a little less expensive than last year. There's this drawback, one cannot avail the special prices for OCW which far more cheaper than the regular prices.

Patience is drawing a thin line here...

Today's a special day for our dear friend, Elizabeth. More blessing come your way and take care always.
